My Story
About Me
I’m Nihal Bulut, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a background in child and youth care and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology in progress. I support children, adolescents, adults, parents, and couples through challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions.
I believe that strong, supportive relationships are the foundation of well-being. In my work, I help clients strengthen communication, deepen connection, and build resilience — creating ripple effects that positively impact both themselves and their families.
Originally from Turkey, I moved to Canada nine years ago and now proudly call Ottawa home. Outside of work, I love reading, exploring nature (especially cloud-watching), and spending time with my family and our two fur babies. I’m also a dedicated LEGO builder and collector — for me, it’s both a creative outlet and a mindful practice. My own journey of growth and resilience is what first inspired me to walk alongside others as they create meaningful change in their lives.

A Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) is a mental health professional who is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) but is still in the qualifying stage. This means they have completed their education and are working under clinical supervision while they finish the requirements to become a fully independent Registered Psychotherapist (RP). They are authorized to provide psychotherapy services, but their work is closely supported and overseen by a clinical supervisor.
